It's great when writers can help each other!

Man, with so much craziness and job loss out in the Bay Area, writers have to stick together. Check out ChronicleColleagues, started by SF Chronicle people who want to help out those who are going to be laid off. It's cruel, cruel world out there sometimes, especially with today's mortgages (average house in Bay Area is over $600,000, multiply that by 6.5 percent and well, you get the point.)

I think that right now writers are the canaries in the coal mine. It looks like a recession is all set to go. Hold onto your hats and save those pennies!
