Lying in wait

Ever have that assignment which is still being mulled over by an editor in New York? Well, I have it now. He's deciding if it's a go and those situation are 50/50 in my experience, or maybe 45/55 not in your favor. Sometimes they surprise you with a "Let's do it," or a more, "I'm going to pass," response.

Either way, I hope it's a yes, because I'm looking forward to going there for a few days and hearing the waves. I love the coast -- wait, don't I live there?!? (OK, kind of technically, but city areas in the Bay Area aren't as pretty as the rugged coastline of extreme Northern and Central California.)
