Why is it so unbearably hot?

For FIVE DAYS in a row, the Weather Channel has reported highs in the 80s. It was been 100 degrees or above each day. Perhaps they should change their name to the "We Don't Know" channel. Because you can be wrong for a day, but FIVE DAYS straight? Come on!
