I came back from the desert where the high never dipped below 100 degrees. Then I come back to Oakland where the temperature was a balmy 64 degrees (sarcasm.)
I did manage to almost finish my restaurant reviews. I still have to add a few paragraphs to one that wasn't that great. I hate going to restaurants where the food isn't good and it's kind of expensive. What can you really say to them? On the flip side, some hole-in-the-wall place was very good. My editor usually wants me to scratch any negative review because she believes that we shouldn't give any print to substandard places. I see where that's coming from, but something sounds a little odd about that policy.
