The life of a freelancer

I guess I'm a bit of a liar since I'm not totally freelancing anymore, but there is that pesky not being paid thing. And no job is apparently immune to layoffs, so I can't get too comfy in my job.

I'd love to hear how everyone else is doing, feel free to post how it's going. Me? I have more work than I realized I would. (The New York Times, baby!) Part-time freelancing is still keeping me very busy. So I come home from my full-time job, work a little on my freelancing and devote my entire weekends to it. Not the most relaxing kind of thing, but OK.

I still haven't heard from the graduate schools or awards! I hope both are good news!
