Yes, I am still alive!

On crutches, but surviving. Everything is almost to print except for the Times article, but everything else is rockin'.

So far only one check, but I'm hoping for the next two to come in rapid succession to help pay for ... GRAD SCHOOL! Yes, I finally got in my MFA program and it's looking good, although my fulltime job is less than thrilled with the prospect of losing me eight hours a week. Hopefully, they understand the greatness of it all and relent, especially since other employees are already doing a similar program.

Meantime, I pitched to NYTimes "Modern Love" and only after pitching realized my essay was 500 words too short. I will learn for next time.
