Why Can't Journalists Be Entrepreneurs?

I was reading this article from Mediabistro about Berkeleyside, a start-up new site from a group of journalists (some of which I know!) in -- you guessed it, Berkeley. It made me ponder again why writers/journalists are so reluctant to be entrepreneurs -- including myself.

Is it because we are supposed to be skeptical of corporations and can't be tainted by the murky underworld of business? Is it watching too much "60 Minutes" and hating the sweating company spokesman? Is it worry that we will become that sweating, beady-eyed guy one day? (See Martin Short's "Nathan Thurm" character below.)
